Uhh sorry, I’ve been in an artsy rut lately. Though, I guess that can actually be used to explain the last month and a half really.

I’ll update here when I get the motivation, I promise it’s not dead, it’s just slow :(

Jade’s Guardian Bec:

((She actually started off with the usual Tinkerbull, but during a run in with a blue-blooded troll when she was fresh to topside Alternia, her original lusus was shot. The blue-blood was nearing the end of his life and instead gave her his former partner.))

Jake’s Guardian BroBot:

((He actually started off with the usual Centaur, but during a run in with a brown-blooded troll when he was fresh to topside Alternia, his original lusus was shot. The brown-blood actually raised him for a time before she passed away as well. Now he’s more or less raised by the top-notch of the sparring bots Dirk has built.))

Rose’s Lusus, Crabmother:

((She actually spends more time off on her own since Rose made it clear long ago that she didn’t require a lusus to watch her. At least in Rose’s opinion. Crab mother still pokes her mandibles in here and there to make sure her charge is okay, but it’s moreso the two sustain themselves.))

Dave’s Lusus, CrowBro:

((Dave’s Lusus and he have a more mutual relationship. They act more as roommates than guardian and charge. Like Rose and her Lusus, they are self-sustaining overall, but unlike them, they actually get along decently well and spend time together. Usually though it’s sparring or fighting over shiny loot they’ve stumbled on.))

Roxy’s Lusus, Fishmom:

((Roxy’s Lusus likes to be on her own. She has enough confidence in her charge that she can take care of herself. Besides that, she can only go on land for so long before she dries out so her stays, that are few and far between as is, are very abrupt.))

Dirk’s Lusus:

((Dirk’s relationship with his Lusus is nearly identical to Roxy’s with hers aside from the fact that his Lusus actually gives somewhat of a shit and actually thinks less of Dirk than what’s really up. His stays, though rare, are usually really long and the two of them can get up to activities that are nearly like that of Dave and his Lusus.))

John/Jane’s Lusus:

((With either kid, this Lusus is very nurturing and makes sure to keep them in line. He enjoys baking greatly and likes to bake with Jane, though John doesn’t seem to prefer that activity.))

((Yeah, I had to make up most of them from my own head, but I tried to keep with the more simplistic styles that Hussie has already set up. Bec is obviously just a oversized wolf with ram horns. Crabmother is Crabdad with alterations. Crowbro is an oversized crow with two sets of wings, feet, and eyes (though you can’t tell from his shades). Fishmom is based off a bullfish with mudskipper traits and of course bull horns. Dirk’s is based off a seagull and given some more reptilian traits.

I loosely matched up the trolls with the types of Lusii they have based on trends from the canon 12 trolls. And yeah.. :B))

I’m choosing to ignore it for this little universe. I thought it’d be a fun idea of they were actually chosen for each sign by when they were born rather than dealing with their blood caste. That way there’d be more fun mixing what was considered more a blood caste trait with something that was more a sign-oriented trait. I also considered inputting the canon trolls in (with different signs that fit their personality better), but I haven’t decided if I wanted to include that many more characters in this yet or not…

I guess I should’ve started off with that little bit of information before getting into the nitty-grittier of it. Sorry! haha I have a habit of not giving out my entire thought process before I run with my conclusions.

Okay, you should be able to click the images elsewhere to make them bigger if you can’t read the text, but I’m gonna kinda explain it more in-depth here anyways.

John is moirails with Rose since Rose is an Indigo blood who isn’t stone out of her mind and actually goes with her blood caste. He keeps her from killing too needlessly. She pities that he’s a seadweller who actually ignores bloodcastes and tries to even make friends with lowbloods so she pities him and tries to keep him on a path that’s still somewhat respectable for someone of his status. She wishes to see him as a rival, a worthy Kismesis given their blood, but he’s too dorky and happy-go-lucky to actually fulfill that need.

Rose is actually not all that into filling quadrants, she just begrudgingly accepts a Moiraillegiance with John and slightly wishes to see him in a more-or-less black way. John doesn’t personally seek out anything with any of his friends. He would rather things just fall into place as they will, thus his only quadrant he worries with is that of being Rose’s Moirail.

Dave and Jade are recently declared Moirails, it’s more Jade though since she helps out Dave more than he, her. Dave would like to say he’s Moirails with Rose as well, but she doesn’t really see him as someone that could “help” her like John does so it’s all one-sided.

Jade doesn’t feel much of a need to fill quadrants, but she does have a bit of a redder crush on Dave as well as a slight black one for Rose. She sees herself as someone being a worthy rival for Rose, but being as neither are too desperate to take relationships too far, too fast, Jade hasn’t brought it up, nor does Rose even realize it.

Dave has slightly red feelings for John, but he doesn’t want anything to be ruined between them. While not Moirails, they are the closest of bros and usually John seems too preoccupied with having a good time and keeping Rose in check that Dave just sits and stews on his crush rather than doing anything about it. Though it’s not like he makes it that big of a deal given it’s Dave.

As for the other kids, Jane and Dirk have a flushed crush on Jake, though, unlike Jane, Dirk would take a blacker relationship as well since he’s been working on shaping Jake into a capable fighter and he thinks they could make a fine rivalry as well as anything else.

Jane doesn’t have much interest in anything aside from her red feelings for Jake. She feels she should work on that romantic issue first before even considering others.

Jake doesn’t have much of an outright interest in anyone at this point. He’s given thought to it, but he’d much rather continue his current lifestyle than pursue any romantic interests.

Roxy is Dirk’s Moirail as she keeps him in check since he can easily overwork himself, and he makes sure she stays a measured version of high off her sopor drinks without going too drunk or too sober. They have a really deep Moiraillegiance as both of them fully accept it and keep it nurtured, however Roxy would like to take things a little redder than that with Dirk.

On the chart, the lightened stands for unrequited/pining for that troll. The fully filled-ins obviously stand for romances that are current and canon to my storyline.

Dirk Strider is a teal blood born under the Aquarius sign. His lusus is his Bro since the two get along on a level that he feels is closer than the need of parental terms (where did those terms even come from, though?).

He often drags his Lusus into strifes, though when not available,  he’ll create robots just for the use of sparring with them which usually ends up with him winning and them exploding. He also has two bots he uses for rapoffs, Sawtooth and Squarewave, theough Squarewave is the only one of the two that sticks around, eager for a battle at any moment.

His interests include building robotics, rapping and creating ill beats on his turntables, training with his katana, studying history, and a unique form of troll animation from some other continent called “troll anime.” He has an unironic love of hoofbeasts and even indulges in an animated trolltoon directed more towards young wrigglers freshly settled in their hives.

He spends most of his time, that isn’t wrapped up in his hobbies or strifes, acting as the big brother to his friends. (yeah, i keep throwing this term around that they wouldn’t even understand, I just don’t have any other easy way of describing his relationship otherwise. bear..with me…) Any worry or issue they have, he will take it as his job to alleviate or fix. This leaves him not leaving much room for himself as his Auto Responder likes to remind him of as well as Roxy. Roxy brings him back to square one, so she can help him worry with himself so he doesn’t “eplxode!!!1!” from the stress. In turn, he helps keep an eye on her blood-to-sopor levels so she doesn’t end up poisoning herself or getting too sobor. This being why they’re fully involved moirails.

He has an interest in Jake, having helped to almost “raise” him most of his life, he has made sure to shape Jake into a fine,  capable, and respectable troll and fancies him more for that fact and his hard work. He realizes he has a contender for a red-relationship with Jane, but wouldn’t mind having more of a rivalry relationship with Jake if that’s the case.

Jake English is a blue blooded troll born under the sign of Sagittarius. He used to have a Lusus, but a tragedy took it away and it was only under the watchful eye of another troll, his “Grandma,” that he was able to survive as long as he did, though she too was eventually killed. Now he’s left with only a robot made for him by Dirk as the closest thing to a guardian. “Brobot” is the only one of the robots to have not been beaten by Jake in a strife yet.

He has an inherent love of adventure as well as furthering his physical prowess (though this may have been deeply instilled in him by being around Dirk and his robots for so long.) He also loves to watch movies and has an infatuation for trolls of his own blood color. Though he does not believe himself above or below other trolls. The troll who raised him had been a brown blood so he was raised to slightly disregard the hemocaste system, not that that’d have been too much of an issue as his three closes friends are all higher on the blood scale.

His hive is located on the cliffs above where Jane lives on an island. On the mainland is where Roxy inhabits and Dirk’s tree is not that much further inland. Being so close, he consistently drags his closest friends off to adventures as well as exploring the ancient ruins that dot the landscape of Alternia.

While not actively pursuing the filling of any quadrants, he has given thought to how it’d be to settle something with all three of his friends. He doesn’t see much need to act on it though as he has more fun with just being friends with them.

Roxy Lalonde is an indigo blood born under the sign of Taurus. She was raised by her Lusus, Mom, to follow her caste’s callings, but her mom isn’t around often so her wishes were discarded in favor of the addictive and intoxicating sopor drinks that Roxy make herself.

With the mind-numbing effects, she’s able to ignore the voices that urge her to follow her blood-right. She has much more fun being the shoulder to lean on for all her friends as well as playing a friendly game of matchmaker. The romantic endeavors of Jane and Dirk excite her and she can’t help but have her finger in both of their pies.

She has an interest in science as well as infatuation for the weird mutated creatures she sometimes creates. A few of them roam her hive and provide the physical comfort her absent lusus cannot.

She also has a deep love of video games and anything technology-wise, training herself to be a “1337 haxorz lol.” Despite her clouded disposition, she’s actually quite sharp and quick-witted.

Also, needless to say, she doesn’t care much for the hemocaste schtick either. None of these kids really do.
